INQUA 2027 Congress
India will host the next INQUA Congress in February 2027 at the Birbal Sahni Institute of Palaeosciences (BSIP) in Lucknow. The focal theme of the Congress is “Quaternary Science as Societal Services”. Through this conference, Indian colleagues offer a glimpse of the Quaternary sites of their country with the fond hope that it would entice the International fraternity to come to India and explore its Quaternary history, wonders and processes.

Collaboration through networking and financial support
INQUA fosters international collaboration in Quaternary Science and aims to enhance communication and cooperation through networking. To achieve this primary goal, INQUA offers financial support for developing International Research Networks and International Skill Activities. Additionally, it provides funding for individual researchers through its Fellowship Program.
Scientific Journals
INQUA serves the Quaternary Research community by supporting the publication of two scientific journals published by Elsevier
• Quaternary International (QI), a hybrid Journal launched in 1989
• Quaternary Environments and Humans (QEH), a full Open Access Journal launched in 2023
